Mortgage Lending Committee Meeting
This working committee is dedicated to creating pathways to homeownership for Native American families by addressing the unique challenges of lending on tribal lands. Through collaboration with lenders, tribal governments, and community stakeholders, the committee works to simplify processes, promote education, and ensure access to affordable mortgage products that align with tribal values and sovereignty.

Pathways Home: Train-the-Trainer
Pathways Home: Train-the-Trainer will instruct participants on how to deliver a comprehensive homebuyer education program designed to help educate prospective Native homebuyers on how to become successful homeowners. The curriculum is specifically tailored for Native American communities.

This training is offered at no cost to Tribal housing professionals nationwide through a cooperative agreement between the National American Indian Housing Council and the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development's Office of Native American Programs.

August 4, 2026 – August 5, 2026 via Zoom
Force Account Construction Training
This training will provide Tribal Housing professionals with guidance on the management of Force Account Construction in housing development activities. Participants will learn about the roles and responsibilities of Tribal Housing programs and how to export and plan for construction projects, as well as, how to best implement the Force Account method of construction into future and existing development projects.

This training is offered free of charge through a cooperative agreement between the National American Indian Housing Council and HUD’s Office of Native American Programs.

November 3, 2026 – November 4, 2026 in Phoenix, AZ
Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) Training
This training provides Tribal housing professionals, Tribal leaders, and Tribally Designated Housing Entities (TDHEs) with guidance on the implementation of Indian Community Development Block Grant (ICDBG) projects in accordance with HUD Office of Native American Programs (ONAP) requirements. Participants will learn best practices for project management, procurement, environmental review requirements, financial management, reporting, implementation schedules, and grant compliance under 24 CFR Part 1003. The training will also cover common implementation challenges, monitoring expectations, eligible activities, contract administration, and strategies to ensure timely project completion and successful grant closeout. Practical examples and implementation tools will be provided to strengthen program administration capacity and support compliant project delivery.
